South Carolina has hundreds of festive Christmas light displays large and small, but this list includes some of our favorites. Scroll through and plan to take your family, friends or just yourself, to see the lights. Anderson

Anderson Christmas Lights *

Drive through Christmas light display featuring a 7/10 mile drive through a variety of beautiful scenes made up of more
than 3,500,000 lights. Bus tour friendly with clearance up to 13 feet. Santa Village and photos with Santa add to the
experience.
Times:  5:30 – 11 p.m.
Cost:  $10 for cars, $20 for buses

Charleston (James Island)

Holiday Festival of Lights *
James Island County Park

Three mile drive-through lights, Holliday train rides, Victorian Carousel, 50 ton sand sculpture, and more.
Hours:  5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. (Sunday-Thursday); 5:30 – 11 p.m. (Friday & Saturday)
Cost:  $20 per vehicle (1-15 guests) (Friday – Sunday).
Receive a $5 discount per vehicle Monday – Thursday with the donation of a canned food item to
benefit local charity.

Columbia

Holiday Lights on the River *
Saluda Shoals Park

November 22 – December 31, 2017
More than 1,000,000 sparkling lights in over 400 themed, animated light displays along a two-mile loop through the park.
Nature comes to life along the Wetland Wonderland Walking Trail’s boardwalk. Train rides and more.
Times: 6 – 10 p.m.
Admission: Cars $15 (plus $2 for train rides, $2 for Winter Wonder Ride and $1 for Hayrides).
NOTE: All Holiday Lights traffic will enter Saluda Shoals Park at the east entrance located between Wendy’s and Aldi at
6071 St. Andrews Road

Lights Before Christmas * 
Riverbanks Zoo & Gardens

November 18 – December 30,  2017 (Closed Nov. 23, Dec. 24, Dec. 25)
Columbia’s longest running holiday event, with nearly 1,000,000 lights, animated images, visits with Santa, and
numerous other activities.
Hours: 5 – 9 p.m.
Cost: $11 Adults, $9 Children ages 3-12, Children under 2 get in free.

Roper Mountain Holiday Lights *
Roper Mountain Science Center

The Roper Mountain Holiday Lights illuminate the Greenville night sky along a 1.5 mile trail! The well-established non-
profit light show and Winter Wonderland has raised over 2 million dollars for local charities and nonprofit organizations
since it started in 1992.
Hours: 6 – 10 p.m.
Cost: $10 for Car, Minivan or SUV (Monday-Thursday), $15 (Friday-Sunday).

Nights of a Thousand Candles *

Brookgreen Gardens are illuminated with 5,500 candles and thousands of sparkling lights,
entertainment, cider and more.

Sumter

Fantasy of Lights *
Swan Lake Iris Gardens

More than 1,000,000 lights and 150 lighted figures create one of the largest lighted displays in South Carolina at 150
acre Swan Lake Iris Gardens.  Entertainment, Refreshments and more, all part of Sumter’s annual Poinsettia Festival.
