One of the most unusual historic sites to be found in the South, the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, Alabama has been visited by
thousands of people through the years and is known around the world as "Jerusalem in Miniature."
Located on the grounds of Alabama's only Benedictine Abbey, the Ave Maria Grotto features more than 125 miniature reproductions of
some of the world's most beloved architectural treasures. Created by Brother Joseph Zoettl, a Benedictine Monk who worked on the
miniatures for 40 years.
